The TGO DX Centenary School Illustration Competition has already awarded winners

  • The competition, organised to celebrate the centenary of the mobility company, recognised sixteen illustrations by pupils from schools in Olesa de Montserrat, Viladecavalls, Sant Cugat del Vallès, Abrera, Esparreguera, Catellbisbal, Martorell and Terrassa.
  • With the theme ‘Bus transport and sustainability’, the four winning illustrations will have their drawing emblazoned on one of the two buses that the company will sign to mark the centenary, and their class will enjoy bus transport and tickets to spend a day together at PortAventura. The eight finalists and the four runners-up will win individual vouchers worth €50 and €25 respectively, for the purchase of school materials at the Núria bookshop in Olesa.

The TGO DX School Illustration Competition has already had winners, finalists and runners-up. With the theme ‘Bus transport and sustainability’, the contest has had a large participation of students in Primary Education, Compulsory Secondary Education and Baccalaureate from schools in the regions where the company provides its services regularly, such as Baix Llobregat and Vallès Occidental. After a long deliberation, the four categories now have a winning illustration, finalist illustrations and four runners-up prizes. The jury was formed by the management and team of professionals at TGO DX and by Lluís Sallés and Xavier Roca, teachers and specialists in graphic design.

In the first category, for 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades of Primary Education, the winning illustration was by Valentina Vicent Rodríguez, from the Mercè Rodoreda School (Martorell). The runners-up were Neus Poveda Sardá, from the Bonviure School (Castellbisbal) and Jan Montoro Martínez, from the Vinya del Sastret School (Sant Esteve Sesrovires).

In the second category, which included illustrations signed by pupils in 4th, 5th and 6th grades of Primary Education, the winner was Jan Floriach Mata, from the Rosella School (Viladecavalls). The jury chose as finalists the illustrations by Carla Cruz Ventas, from the Francesc Platón y Sartí School (Abrera) and María Ortega Palacios (April), from the Bonviure School (Castellbisbal).

In the third category, which encompassed the four years of Educación Secundaria Obligatoria (ESO), the winner was Isabel Frías Urbano, from Pureza de María Sant Cugat School (Sant Cugat del Vallès). As finalists, the jury distinguished Míriam Fernández Hamido, from Institut Investigador Blanxart (Terrassa), and Simó Jorquera Martínez, from Institut Voltrera (Abrera).

Finally, in the fourth category, for Baccalaureate students, the winner was Biel Moreno Lluberes, from the Daina-Isard School (Olesa de Montserrat). The two finalist illustrations were also the work of students from the same school, specifically Pere Vendrell Palomares and Aina Civera de Buen.

Finally, thanks to the large number of works and their illustrative quality, it was decided to award runners-up prizes to the following authors: Kawtar Oulad Lo Arbi, from the José Echegaray School (Martorell), Daniel Ruiz Escudero, from the Sant Bernat School (Olesa de Montserrat), Nora Barbero Corado from the El Castell School (Esparreguera) and Fede Mallofré Vela, from the Daina-Isard School (Olesa de Montserrat).

The winning illustrations will be vinylated on one of the two buses that TGO DX will label on the occasion of its centenary and the winner’s class will receive tickets to visit PortAventura, including travel by bus. As for the finalist illustrations, their authors will each receive an individual €50 voucher to buy school supplies at the Papereria Llibreria Núria in Olesa de Montserrat and Esparreguera. The runners-up will also each receive an individual TGO DX voucher worth €25 to buy school supplies at the same establishment.

Finally, we would like to congratulate the winners, the finalists and the runners-up, but we would also like to thank the rest of the students and all the schools for their participation.

TGO DX will contact the winners, finalists and runners-up.
