• Specifically, the collaboration agreement will seek to continue promoting the new TAD 1 and TAD 2 on-demand transport lines operated by MasatsTG DX, which improve the bus connection between the Les Comes industrial estate and the urban centres of Igualada, Santa Margarida de Montbui and Vilanova de Camí.
  • Original Buff SA, with a presence in the Les Comes industrial estate, will offer its workers the possibility of using the transport lines on demand and will assume the full cost of the ticket as part of the company’s social benefits.

MasatsTG DX and Original Buff SA have signed a collaboration agreement to continue promoting the use of the new on-demand transport lines TAD 1 and TAD 2, which improve the bus connection between the Les Comes industrial estate and the urban centres of Igualada, Santa Margarida de Montbui and Vilanova de Camí. The service, operated by MasatsTG DX and supported and promoted by the administrations and the business fabric of the area, aims to decongest the industrial estate of private vehicles and offer a sustainable alternative for the 4,000 people who work in the area. Both lines are part of the Clic.cat project promoted by the Generalitat de Catalunya.

Thanks to this agreement, Original Buff SA will offer its employees the possibility to use the on-demand transport lines and will assume the full cost of the ticket as part of the company’s social benefits. In this way, Original Buff, SA and MasatsTG DX reaffirm their commitment to the local community and the environment by promoting on-demand transport. In fact, it is an intelligent, agile and sustainable mobility system, as the service is only activated when a person requires it with prior reservation through the El Meu Bus app (iOs and Android) or the web platform www.lescomes.elmeubus.com.

During the signing ceremony, Carme Pros, CEO of MasatsTG DX, thanked Original Buff SA for its support in promoting the service in the Les Comes industrial estate in Igualada. She also stressed that the future of means of transport is along these lines and that it is necessary for companies and public institutions to support initiatives like these so that citizens change their habits and opt for public transport to get around.

For her part, Almudena Cara, People Manager of Original Buff SA, highlighted the need for a means of transport to reach the Les Comes industrial estate and welcomed the fact that MasatsTG Dx has done so by promoting a sustainable service in response to user demand. The new service is in line with our values and philosophy and that is why we want to offer it completely free of charge to all Buff workers,” he said. This is a step that we hope will encourage them to leave their cars at home and thus decongest the industrial estate of private cars”, he added.

The TAD 1 and TAD 2 lines are offered in the Clic.cat project promoted by the Department of the Vice-Presidency and Digital Policies and Territory of the Generalitat de Catalunya. Since 1991, this institution has been implementing on-demand transport services with the collaboration of local councils and county councils throughout Catalonia. There are currently 235 on-demand transport lines in operation serving 736 population centres, a deployment that responds to an on-demand transport model based on digitalisation that facilitates and speeds up access to services for all citizens.
