The mobility companies TGO DX and Autos Castellbisbal, two of the leading passenger transport companies on the peninsula, have agreed to merge in order to achieve greater size and business structure with the aim of gaining efficiency in the development of services. The agreement, which was reached on Thursday 20 May 2021 and will come into effect from Thursday 1 July 2021, will involve the subrogation of all Autos Castellbisbal employees in TGO DX.
Thus, the merger will allow the service offered by both companies to continue improving, which includes the concession of numerous regular lines in the regions of Baix Llobregat, Bages, Vallès Occidental, Anoia and Barcelonès; school and business transport services; and other occasional journeys. This move, which will not involve any reduction in staff, will allow TGO DX to increase the number of vehicles in its fleet by 40%, gain in efficiency, optimise resources and offer a better service to users.
The two companies, which were founded in the 1920s, have had an ongoing relationship of collaboration since 2003 and, since 2011, have formed part of GrupTG DX, which brings together the leading companies in the passenger transport sector in the province of Barcelona. The merger is a further step in the collaboration between the two companies to continue offering a quality, agile, sustainable, comfortable and innovative service.
