Territorio improves connection to Moisés Broggi Hospital with a new bus line
- This is the L59, which will connect Rubí, el Papiol, Molins de Rei and the hospital center.
- It will start operating on April 11 and will offer 9 expeditions in each direction.
- The Department also adds new expeditions to line L67, which links Catellbisbal, El Papiol, Molins de Rei and Barcelona.
The Department of Territory will launch next April 11 the new bus line L59, which will connect Rubí, El Papiol and Molins de Rei with the Moisés Broggi Hospital, located in Sant Joan Despí. The service will operate from Monday to Friday working days and will offer a total of 9 journeys in each direction. The new line will replace the current L4, which runs between Rubí, el Papiol and Molins de Rei with three journeys each way on weekdays, without reaching the Hospital.
L67, more direct
The start-up of L59 will also bring improvements to line L67, which links Catellbisbal, El Papiol, Molins de Rei and Barcelona. The bus will no longer stop at the Moisés Broggi Hospital on weekdays, as the L59 will do so, and will be able to offer a more direct route to Barcelona. The bus, on the other hand, will continue to stop at the Hospital on weekends and holidays.
New expeditions
On the other hand, and also from April 11, the L67 will have a new expedition in each direction early in the morning on weekdays and a new departure in each direction on Saturdays, holidays and working days in August, following the increase in demand detected in recent months. The line will also incorporate two new stops at Papiol de Bajo and CABO de Molins de Rei. The L67 carried a total of 68,167 passengers in 2022, 45% more than in 2021 and 18% more than in 2019, before the pandemic.
All these are improvements that the Department of Territory has decided to implement as a result of requests from the town councils of Papiol and Catellbisbal.
